Dr. Garriga holds a Ph.D. in Management from IESE Business School, Barcelona (2007), and a BA in Economics and Business Administration (INEDE) and Philosophy from the University of Barcelona (1998).
Her research integrates a variety of theoretical frameworks, including Stakeholder Theory, Network Theory, and Systems Thinking, alongside Sustainability, Performance Management, Impact Evaluation, and Development Economics. Dr. Garriga has authored over 10 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics, and has contributed to several book chapters in both academic and specialized publications. Since 2019, she has served as a section editor for the Journal of Business Ethics in the Corporate Responsibility: Theoretical and Qualitative Issues section".
For the past fifteen years, Dr. Garriga has taught courses on Sustainability, Strategy, and Performance Systems, holding academic positions at York University (Canada), EADA Business School (Spain), Centrum Business School (Peru), UOC (Spain), and the University of Bergamo (Italy). She has also been a visiting scholar at the Darden School of Business (University of Virginia, USA) and CEIBS (China).
