Dr. Jamie Gorrell is a behavioural and molecular ecologist whose research integrates field ecology and population genetics to study the behaviour, evolution, and conservation of vertebrates. His lab combines rugged fieldwork with cutting-edge molecular techniques to address theoretical questions and solve wildlife management problems surrounding marmots, lynx, and mustelids. Before joining UNBC, Jamie was a professor at Vancouver Island University and holds a PhD in Ecology from the University of Alberta.
