Dr. Kong earned her Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour from McMaster University. Her research focuses on the social and emotional development of children, as well as parenting behaviors across diverse socio-cultural contexts. She has a strong background in this area and has engaged in international collaborations investigating various aspects of well-being, including pro-environmental behaviors and maternal involvement. At UNBC, Dr. Kong aims to expand her cross-cultural research to include Indigenous and rural-urban populations in Canada.
